About 4:00 PM on Friday I show up to a small meadow in Pleasant Grove Utah. As the sun disappears into the night a beautiful fire is built. As if to challenge the heavens, Its flames reach to the sky more than twenty feet. About two dozen of us, who moments before were bitten by the cold night; now feel the heat from a magnificent fire, and we welcomed it.
The facilitator was Mr. Cam Mosher. He spoke of shamans, coyote, and the Indian medicine wheel. He told a story of a frog who used a stick to fool a snake. If you can believe that this is true, than perhaps you to can also believe fire is your friend and walk over burning coals of more than 1300°.
I walked fire for the second time in my life and again my feet are not burned. It was an amazing experience. An experience that questions everything you believe to be true about your interaction with perception, and what is REAL.
